The PromoSplit extension ("the Extension") is designed with your privacy in mind. We minimize the data collected and ensure that none of it is personally identifiable.

• Website Content (Amazon.in): The Extension reads the HTML content of your active Amazon.in tabs specifically to locate and extract your cart items, prices, and available discount/offer text strings.

2. How We Use Your Information

The extracted offer text strings are sent securely to our external backend API (which integrates with OpenAI/Gemini) purely for natural language processing (NLP). This allows the Extension to understand the mathematical rules of the offers (e.g., minimum spend thresholds).

• We do not collect or transmit your name, email address, Amazon account details, or actual payment information.
• The heavy mathematical optimization (finding the best split orders) occurs entirely locally on your own computer.

3. Data Sharing and Transfer

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising, creditworthiness determination, or lending purposes. The only external transmission is the anonymous public offer text sent to our parsing API to function properly.

4. Affiliate Links & Monetization

To support the development and maintenance of PromoSplit, the Extension utilizes Amazon Affiliate links. When the Extension opens the Amazon cart or creates your optimized split orders, it appends an affiliate tag to the URL. If you make a qualifying purchase, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. This tracking is handled entirely by Amazon's standard affiliate program.

5. Chrome Web Store Disclosures

In accordance with Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies, we certify that:

• We do not sell or transfer user data to third parties, outside of the approved use cases.
• We do not use or transfer user data for purposes that are unrelated to the item's single purpose.
• We do not use or transfer user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
